The RLM01 acts as a "bridge" or "repeater" that converts a single PROFIBUS line (Line M) into two reciprocally redundant lines (Line A and Line B).

• Bidirectional Operation: It can receive data from any of the three ports (A, B, or M) and transmit it to the others.

• Transparency: It is completely transparent to the PROFIBUS protocol; it does not require a slave address and does not interfere with the bus configuration.
