Product Detailed Description

  • Core Function: The IRDH275B-427 constantly monitors the insulation resistance between the system conductors (L1, L2, L3, or L+, L-) and earth (PE). This is critical in IT systems, where the first insulation fault does not immediately cause a short circuit or trip but presents a potential safety hazard if a second fault occurs. The ISOMETER® provides early detection of such faults.

  • Measurement Principle: It employs Bender's patented AMPPlus measurement method. This advanced method is specifically designed for modern power supply systems, which often include rectifiers, converters, thyristor-controlled DC drives, and other components that introduce extensive directly connected DC components and high system leakage capacitances. The AMPPlus method ensures accurate monitoring even in these complex and noisy environments.

  • Alarm System:

    • Features two separately adjustable alarm relays (pre-warning and main alarm).

    • When the insulation resistance falls below a set response value (Ran1 for pre-warning, Ran2 for main alarm), the corresponding alarm relays switch, and alarm LEDs (Alarm 1, Alarm 2) illuminate.

    • The "B" version includes a history memory with a real-time clock to store all alarm messages with a date and time stamp, aiding in fault analysis and predictive maintenance.

  • Display and Operation:

    • Equipped with an LC display that shows the system's current insulation resistance in real-time.

    • Integrated function buttons (INFO, TEST, RESET, MENU, arrow keys) on the front plate allow for easy parameterization, querying of information, and device testing.
