PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Fluke 700P29 Gauge Pressure Module Overview
The Fluke 700P29 is a high-accuracy, rugged gauge pressure module that extends the capabilities of Fluke's 700 Series Process Calibrators. It allows technicians to perform precise pressure measurements in various industrial and process control applications. It measures pressure relative to atmospheric pressure and is designed for use with dry, non-corrosive gases as media.
Product Detailed Description
Function:
Measures gauge pressure (pressure relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure).
Connects to a Fluke 700 Series Process Calibrator (e.g., 700G, 717, 725, 750 Series) to display pressure readings.
Converts the measured pressure into a digital signal that is sent to the calibrator for display and further processing.
Offers internal temperature compensation from 0°C to 50°C for full-accuracy performance, ensuring reliable readings across a typical industrial temperature range.
Displays pressure readings in any of 10 different user-selectable pressure units on the connected calibrator.
Features:
High Pressure Range: Designed for measurements up to 3000 psi (20.7 MPa).
Accuracy: High reference uncertainty (e.g., 0.050% of full span) and total uncertainty (e.g., 0.080% of full span for one year, 0°C to 50°C).
Temperature Compensation: Internal compensation over a wide range (0°C to 50°C) ensures stable and accurate readings.
Rugged Construction: Encased in a durable urethane molded case to protect against rough handling and harsh industrial conditions.
NIST-Traceable Calibration Certificate: Each module typically comes with a calibration certificate traceable to national standards, assuring measurement quality.
Local Calibration Capability: Can be calibrated locally using the Fluke 700PCK Pressure Calibration Kit, a PC, and a precision pressure source, allowing for in-house calibration and reduced downtime.
Compatible Media: Designed for use with dry air or non-corrosive gas as the high-side media. The wetted material for the high side is Hastelloy C276 for excellent chemical compatibility.
Standard Connection: Typically features a 1/4" NPT pressure fitting.

Traceability: Includes a NIST-traceable calibration certificate, providing confidence in measurement quality and compliance.
User-Friendly: Integrates seamlessly with Fluke 700 Series calibrators, offering a familiar interface and multiple pressure unit options for ease of use.
Cost-Effective Calibration: The ability to calibrate locally using the 700PCK kit can reduce calibration costs and instrument downtime.
Reliable Brand: Fluke is a globally recognized and trusted brand in test and measurement, known for quality and support.
Precautions
Overpressure Damage: Never apply pressure exceeding the specified BURST PRESSURE (typically 3 times full scale). This can permanently damage the module. Always isolate the pressure system and slowly bleed off pressure before connecting or disconnecting the module.
Media Compatibility: Use the module ONLY with media compatible with Hastelloy C276 (high side), typically dry air or non-corrosive gases. Using incompatible media can lead to corrosion and damage.
Torque Control: When attaching fittings, do not apply more than 10 ft-lbs of torque between the pressure module fittings or between the fittings and the module body to avoid mechanical damage. Use appropriate torque tools.
Zeroing: For best results, it is recommended to pressurize the module to full scale and then vent to zero pressure (atmosphere) prior to zeroing and making measurements with the calibrator. Always zero the module before measurements for optimal accuracy.
Environmental Conditions: Operate and store the module within the specified temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or highly corrosive atmospheres.
Cleanliness: Ensure the pressure fitting and the media are clean and free of debris to prevent contamination of the sensor.
Calibration: While stable, regular calibration according to your quality system requirements is recommended to maintain specified accuracy over time.
Compatibility: Ensure the Fluke 700P29 is compatible with your specific Fluke 700 Series Process Calibrator model.
