Precautions
Correct Cable Type: Ensure that PROFIBUS cables used are suitable for the specified conductor cross sections (0.14-1.5 mm² for solid, 0.14-1 mm² for flexible). Phoenix Contact recommends using standard PROFIBUS cables (Type A according to EN 50170).
Proper Termination: Always ensure that the termination resistor is correctly switched ON at the physical ends of the PROFIBUS segment and OFF for intermediate nodes to prevent signal reflections and bus communication issues.
Secure Connections: Adhere to the specified tightening torques for screw terminals (0.4 Nm) and housing screws (1.2 Nm) to ensure secure and reliable electrical contact and mechanical stability.
