The SPXCDULNTXF is a 3-wire, 4-20mA fixed gas transmitter. It is designed to be used with plug-in catalytic bead or infrared sensor cartridges to monitor flammable gas hazards in hazardous locations.

4. Key Considerations (Precautions)

• Sensor Selection: The SPXCDULNTXF is the transmitter only. You must purchase the appropriate Flammable (Catalytic) or IR sensor cartridge separately.

• Conduit Sealing: For UL/c-UL installations, ensure the 3/4" NPT entries are sealed with appropriate explosion-proof conduit seals (poured seals) within 18 inches of the device.

• Calibration: While it is a "smart" device, regular bump tests and annual calibrations are required to ensure the accuracy of the electrochemical or catalytic sensors.

• Mounting: Ensure the sensor points downward to prevent water or dust accumulation on the sensor face.
